The net of metal hydroxide is so tight that only tiny water molecules penetrate it freely. Hydrogen gas, created in the electrolytic cell, will lift the net of iron or aluminium hydroxides through waste water. The tight net sieves waste water and collects all molecules bigger than water molecules into rising floc as seen in the video above.
